Application Process:
- Members will review the applications submitted, and AAJJRS will notify the selected candidates for the following positions:
- Journal Editors: One (1) editor per journal.
- Journal Editorial Board: Up to fifteen (15) members per journal. Selected members may serve on more than one board.
- Newsletter Editor: Open.
Peer-Reviewed Journals and Newsletter
Journal of Juvenile Justice
The peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal features quantitative and qualitative research on various juvenile justice issues, including policing youth, deinstitutionalization of status offenders, racial and ethnic disproportionality and disparities in the juvenile justice system, youth in juvenile and adult jails, juvenile probation, and transfers to adult court.
Journal of Delinquency Prevention and Intervention
The peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal features quantitative and qualitative research on various delinquency prevention and intervention issues, including truancy prevention and intervention, evidence-based mentoring, youth risk and protective factors, community-based youth and family services, and risk and responsivity assessments.
Journal of Youth Victimization
The peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal features quantitative and qualitative research on various youth victimization issues, including exposure to violence, physical and sexual child abuse, Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC), such as human trafficking, violent crimes against children and youth, and missing and exploited children.
AAJJRS QUARTERLY
Features scholarly articles on various juvenile justice, delinquency prevention, and youth victimization issues.
